SOC 3080 Displaced: Gentrification and the Unhoused 3.0 Credits
Examines how housing shapes individual, family, and neighborhood dynamics. Introduces students to housing policy in the United States, gentrification, and homelessness. Topics include the meaning of home, residential segregation, and housing in transnational contexts. Students critically assess the role of housing in race, class, and gender-based inequalities and evaluate current policy for improving access to stable housing.
