STAT 2205 Statistical Inference 3.0 Credits
This course introduces statistical methods used to analyze data and support decision-making for business and engineering. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, random variables, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing for means and proportions. Students learn to compare groups using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and to build and interpret linear regression models, understanding assumptions for the models and methods for evaluation and selection. Statistical software is used throughout for analysis, visualization, and reporting.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
