STAT 3202 Business Statistics II 3.0 Credits

This course builds on students’ foundational knowledge of probability and statistical inference, with a focus on developing a deeper understanding and practical proficiency in widely used statistical methods for business analysis. Students gain proficiency with some core methods - including chi-squared analysis, ANOVA, correlation, linear regression and logistic regression – through extensive practice applying these methods to data sets. Emphasis is placed on understanding the assumptions behind each method, diagnosing and addressing violations and accurately interpreting results. Students also gain hands-on experience implementing analyses in statistical software and learn how to select, apply and critically evaluate models in realistic business contexts.
