ULAW 2410 Foundations of U.S. Law: Powers of Government 3.0 Credits

This course examines major decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court concerning the nature and scope of the powers of Congress, the presidency, the judiciary, and the relationship between the federal and state governments. Students will gain an appreciation for historical developments that have influenced the Court's role, structure, and decisions, and develop an understanding of debates over methods of Constitutional interpretation and the role of courts in a democracy.
