ULAW 3615 IP, Innovation, and the Public Good 3.0 Credits
This course examines how intellectual property law shapes and is shaped by debates over innovation, equity, and access. We explore the dual role of IP as both catalyst and constraint: a tool that can foster breakthrough research, expand access to knowledge, or entrench monopolies and widen inequality. We ultimately ask who benefits from innovation? Who is excluded? And how might law be reimagined to promote the public good.
