VSD 5003 Advanced Vestibular Diagnostics 1.5 Credit
Disorders of the vestibular system are a major contributor to dizziness, imbalance, falls and reduced quality of life, making precise diagnostic evaluation essential for modern clinical practice and research. This course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced vestibular diagnostic methodologies, emphasizing the physiological principles, instrumentation and interpretation of angular head acceleration, linear head acceleration and standard postural control assessments. Students will critically evaluate contemporary testing approaches, integrate multimodal vestibular data and apply evidence-based reasoning to complex clinical cases. Through applied analysis and literature review, participants will develop advanced competencies in vestibular diagnostic decision-making.
