VSD 5004 Pediatric Vestibular Assessment 1.5 Credit
Vestibular dysfunction in children is frequently under-recognized, yet it can significantly affect balance, visual stability, motor development, learning, and participation in daily activities. Accurate pediatric vestibular assessment is essential for early identification, differential diagnosis, and effective intervention. This course provides an in-depth exploration of how vestibular disorders present across pediatric populations and developmental stages. Students will learn to modify, administer, and interpret common vestibular evaluations for children, recognize prevalent diagnoses, and determine appropriate referrals and rehabilitation strategies.
