VSD 5005 Vestibular and Balance Rehabilitation 1.5 Credit
Vestibular and balance disorders are among the most common causes of dizziness, falls, and functional disability across the lifespan. Audiologists play a critical role in identifying vestibular dysfunction and translating diagnostic findings into meaningful rehabilitation strategies. This course emphasizes the clinical application of vestibular anatomy and physiology to patient assessment and treatment planning. Students will learn to connect vestibular diagnostic results with evidence-based rehabilitation approaches and develop practical skills for assisting with and delivering targeted therapeutic activities for individuals with vestibular and balance impairments in diverse clinical settings.
