WRIT 2500 Threshold Concepts of Writing Studies 3.0 Credits

Threshold concepts are a form of insider knowledge: “concepts critical for continued learning and participation in an area or within a community of practice” (Adler-Kassner and Wardle 2). Students learn about threshold concepts and the research and pedagogy that inform them. Students use the concepts to explore their own writing experiences and as a basis for writing studies research.
