About the Graduate Minor

The graduate minor in Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Management focuses on development of a leadership style and skills set essential for nurses in or seeking administrative roles. The program provides the student with information and strategies to problem solve, make decisions, resolve conflict and operationalize the mission and goals of the healthcare delivery organization. In addition, the program guides development of essential skills for supervisory and management positions that help professionals perform in their expanded roles and grow as emerging leaders. Emphasis will be placed on fiscal and organizational management, strategic planning, integrated quality outcomes measurement, organizational structures, marketing, and management of human resources within organizations.
