CTCN 511 Clinical Practicum & Practicum Seminar I 2.0 Credits

This course introduces basic counseling skills and provides opportunities to put these skills into practice through a supervised clinical experience A group seminar will support the integration of the clinical experience and the coursework. Students will explore the interpersonal dynamics of the helping relationship and develop self-in-role skills, such as self-reflection and strategies for self-care. The student is assigned, by the Coordinator of Field Education, to a clinical field experience under the guidance of an approved clinical supervisor.
