MFSP 554S Principles of Forensic Pathology 3.0 Credits

This course will provide a review of forensic pathology, including human identification, time of death, sudden death, injury causation and analysis, child abuse and neglect, suicidology, genocide studies and determination of cause and manner of death. Included will be the pathology of natural disease and sudden death, and the application of related fields such as forensic toxicology, anthropology and odontology. There will be integration of scene evidence to allow for a mock scene reconstruction in the latter portion of the course.
