NUAN 707 Nurse Anesthesia Practice for Special Patient Populations II 2.0 Credits

The physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and anesthetic management for the geriatric, obese, obstetric, and neonatal/pediatric patient populations are examined. Unique anesthesia considerations for patients receiving anesthesia care outside of the operating room are also explored. The lecture content is enhanced with a pediatric simulation lab experience to facilitate exposure to the nuances of pediatric anesthesia.
