NUAN 708 Nurse Anesthesia Practice Principles II 3.0 Credits

This course examines the anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology of regional anesthesia. A focus on various regional anesthesia techniques as a primary anesthetic and as an adjunct to manage perioperative pain is emphasized. The simulation lab experience promotes the development of novice psychometric skills to safely administer regional anesthesia to patients across the perianesthesia continuum. An overview of radiologic and diagnostic imaging critical to anesthesia practice is also incorporated.
