NUAN 809 Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Practicum VII 3.0 Credits

This is the last nurse anesthesia clinical practicum course, which builds upon the clinical principles captured in Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Practicum I-VI and didactic courses. In Nurse Anesthesia Clinical Practicum VII, students integrate scientific and best evidence to deliver safe, culturally competent perianesthesia care across the lifespan. Utilizing interprofessional communication, and critical thinking and decision-making skills, students collaborate with preceptors to provide autonomous care to patients with significant comorbidities undergoing more complex elective or emergency surgical procedures.
