NUPR 610 AGACNP I: Evidence-Based Clinical Management for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Populations I 5.0 Credits

This is the first course in a series of four clinical courses for the graduate student studying to become an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. This course is designed to introduce the student to the role of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in adult acute/critical and chronic healthcare settings, focusing on principles in inpatient/hospitalist medicine. This course fosters the development of adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
