NUPR 680 ACPNP I: Evidence-Based Acute-Chronic Care of Infants, Children and Adolescents I 5.0 Credits

This clinical course will provide the novice acute-chronic PNP student with higher appreciation of the pathophysiological basis and management of acute-chronic health disorders with children and their families. Emphasis is placed on critical assessment stratagems, pharmacological treatments, current research, and treatment of children with complex acute-chronic health conditions with a multicultural perspective. This course fosters the development of pediatric nurse practitioners in providing evidence-based clinical care through the integration of advanced diagnostic reasoning, advanced medical intervention, and advanced pharmacotherapeutic intervention. Faculty-supervised clinical practicum is required in this course.
