SMT 601 Sports Industry Management 3.0 Credits

This course provides a detailed overview of the sports and entertainment industry and its management and business practices. Students will study professional, collegiate, nonprofit, minor league, and recreational sport. This course will cover the history of sport to the present landscape of the industry, ranging from sales to marketing to venue operations to new technology to media, all of which are necessary to provide students with foundational knowledge for the effective management of sport organizations.
