ECE 2401 Circuits 4.0 Credits
Study of electric circuits covering circuit variables, ideal and non-ideal sources, and lumped components including linear (resistors, capacitors, inductors) and non-linear (switches, diodes, transistors). Analysis of linear circuits using graph models, Kirchhoff’s laws, phasors, and AC steady state. Equivalent circuits, nodal and mesh analysis, ports, and load lines. Differential equation models, switching behavior, frequency response, filters, and magnetic coupling, including transformers and motors.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: MATH 2901 [Min Grade: D] (Can be taken Concurrently) or (PHYS 1201 [Min Grade: D] or PHYS 102 [Min Grade: D]) or ECE 232 [Min Grade: D] or ENGR 232 [Min Grade: D] or MATH 210 [Min Grade: D])
