THTR 2301 Introduction to Stagecraft for Artists and Managers 3.0 Credits

This course is an overview of all the behind-the-scenes technical aspects of producing a performance, geared specifically for artists and managers to give them a deeper understanding of how technical production elements integrate in their own work. Using lectures, discussions, and practical experiences it introduces the processes and entertainment industry equipment used in production of live performances, including roles/positions, scenic construction, projection, lighting, sound, and costuming. The course explores how they come together with stage/production management to support a unified production.
