CATX 7997 Thesis Preparation Research 1.0 Credit
This course is the first in a three-course sequence fulfilling graduate research thesis requirements. Students select a research topic, conduct a literature review to identify gaps in existing knowledge, formulate a research question, and outline methods for addressing the question. Course deliverables include required CITI training, a completed thesis proposal, and an IRB application. The proposal includes a literature review, gap analysis, research question, and proposed research method, including discussion of scientific standards, ethical considerations, inclusion and exclusion criteria, recruitment methods, data collection strategies, and data analysis plans. Students receive individual faculty advisement throughout the course.
Repeat Status: Can be repeated multiple times for credit
Restrictions: Can enroll if major is ATC or major is DMTC or major is MTC.
