About the Program

Note - this program is currently not accepting students.

The online Certificate in Global Health is designed to train post-baccalaureate students and healthcare professionals for a career in global health and international development. The program stresses the development of analytic and technical skills required to pursue further work in the growing areas of global health and international development. The curriculum focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating programs in underserved communities in the United States and abroad. Students will learn to translate theory into practical applications to address current global health and development challenges.

The certificate is offered entirely online to provide qualified students and working professionals with an opportunity to participate in this program regardless of restrictions in time and physical location. Those who successfully complete the certificate program and wish to broaden their scope of public health education could pursue an MPH or MS degree and apply some or all credits to that program.
